From collegiate indoor volleyball to the professional beach game, Alex is building toward the AVP League and the Beach Pro Tour.
The Journey
Indoor roots. Beach goals.
Alex played outside hitter at Grand View University, where he helped the Vikings finish second at the NAIA National Championship.
After earning a bachelor's degree in kinesiology and a master's degree in sport and exercise psychology, Alex played professional indoor volleyball for two years in the United Kingdom. He later coached at the collegiate and club levels, including St. Cloud State University.
Now competing professionally on the beach, Alex has earned a ninth-place finish at a Beach Pro Tour Challenge event and an AVP win at Laguna Beach. His goals are to qualify for the AVP League and represent the United States on the Beach Pro Tour.
