Lucas Torres

Originally from Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Lucas Torres developed his indoor game with Minas Tênis Clube, one of Brazil’s respected volleyball programs. The 6-foot-5 outside hitter later moved to Canada to compete for Vancouver Island University.

Lucas made an immediate impact at VIU, earning the 2023 PACWEST Rookie of the Year award along with PACWEST and CCAA First-Team All-Star honors. In 2024, he was named PACWEST Championship MVP and earned CCAA Second-Team All-Star recognition. He later continued his college career at BYU before transferring to the University of Charleston.

His indoor background has helped shape him into a powerful and versatile beach player. Lucas now brings his experience, athleticism, and competitive drive to AVP beach volleyball while continuing to build his career in both versions of the sport.
